An Outfit: Squared
So this week I didn't have internet connection at home for three days, and for those days I hitched internet connection at my boyfriend's house. Because their house is near my college alma mater, I coaxed him into walking around the campus for fresh air. I wish there are many parks here in Cebu where we can walk around after work or early in the morning, and where we are sure we won't be mugged.
What I'm wearing is a vintage button-down shirt that I super love because it's polyester (= no wrinkles) and because it is a right fit for me (and getting the right fit in vintage & thrift shops is difficult). I'm also wearing thrifted pants and my dependable flats that I think will get out of commission very soon.

An Outfit: Bodysuit in Green Rally
Yesterday was a hectic day. I didn't have my home internet connection since Sunday night. It was just a good thing though that I wasn't so busy with my full-time work.
On Wednesday, I wore this black & gray striped bodysuit and a modern-cut polyester skirt that is amazingly very comfortable to wear. The skirt was loose, about 1 size bigger than me, but I placed a belt at the waist and folded the waist. That's my sister on the third picture.

A Political Rally
I am exhausted and tired and wet (it rained!) coming home from a political rally. But I am so glad I, and about 30,000 more, made the effort. Though numbers may not mean everything, and judgment day is only on election day, it feels good knowing I am not alone in supporting my bet. =)

Green Team
I am a political animal, we all are. The fact that we live in a society (and not alone, in an island) makes us all political animals. Whether we participate actively or inactively in that society does not exclude us from that society's politics. On May 10, the Filipinos will cast our votes. You and I may have different bets...I hope that whoever we choose, we choose them because they represent clean, sustainable and appropriate governance. I will not campaign but in these pictures, you'll know who I obviously will vote for. =)
Tonight, we went to our bet's local headquarters and helped out a little bit with the campaign materials. After that, we had dinner at Larsian, a famous (or infamous?) barbecue place in the city, and then walked over to Robinson's Cybergate Mall, had ice cream and took pictures.
On to my outfit, the green dress was supposed to be my New Year's Day dress but didn't get to wear it because we slept. =) The vest is a do-it-myself cropped vest that I listed for sale at the Shop. The necklace I got in a swap I did with an online buddy a few months back.
My sister's wearing a green dress I also listed at the Shop for sale, a thrifted cap, and leather bag.
And, I believe being political does not mean being boring, fashion- and style-wise. =)

An Outfit: Back to Black
It's summer and I wanted to wear something colorful and summery. In fact, I created summery outfits at Polyvore to inspire me. But for a dinner last night with a cousin, Marga, I wore a sad and drab black. :( I haven't worn this dress yet, so I test-drive it last night.
Dress - DKNY, thrifted
Sandals - Grendha
Necklace - local bazaar
Bag - Hera, thrifted
And the last photo, my family's currently experimenting making home-made ice cream. And that's the result. It was delicious, in a flavor-of-the-road way, albeit being very liquidy.

Have you seen this?
I am not a color person. No, I meant, I don't know how to mix & match colors. That's why most of my clothes are mono-colored. Or mostly dresses, in mono-colors. :D But I recently found this site, Color Collective via AbbyTryAgain, and I am hooked. I am inspired. Hopefully, this will make my life & wardrobe more alive. :D

An Outfit: Mesrine, L'instint de Mort
We watched another French film last night, Mesrine, L'instint de Mort. While the movie was action-packed and crime-packed (it was after all based on the infamous French bank robber, Jacques Mesrine), the movie provided me a peek into French/Spanish fashion in the 60s and 70s.
My outfit:
Dress - thrifted, vintage inspired
Necklaces - one's from grandma, one's a handmade gift
Slippers - Marikina Shoe Exchange
Bag - thrifted

An Outfit: Thursday Dinner
Last night, I went with my boyfriend's family to have dinner in a Filipino restaurant somewhere in the city. While I was really contemplating on taking pictures of what we ate, I did not get the chance because I was too hungry and the food was very delicious. Thanks to Julie (my boyfriend's sister) for the treat.
Anyhow, on to my outfit:
Dress - knitted, thrifted
Cover-up - vintage blouse used as cover-up
Belt - thrifted
Bag - thrifted
Sandals - Marikina Shoe Exchange, local brand
I'll let out a secret. I wore the cover-up because the knitted dress had a hole at the left armpit and I did not have time to mend it. And, the dress was sort-of fitted and I know I'd be eating much, so I used the cover-up to, well, cover up my stomach, in case it bulges too much. :D

An Outfit: Bowl Cut
I actually have bangs, since January. I had them cut by my sister. I almost always have my hair cut by my sister. But I don't show my bangs often because my family teases me that I look like our youngest (3-yr old) cousin.
Vintage dress available for sale at the Shop.

a favorite thing
I use a Pentax Asahi (1970s) manual film camera and it's one of my favorite and treasured vintage find. :)
