I know fashion magazines make strong non-fashion-related statements. But for someone like me, who is always stubborn to believe that fashion should always just be beautiful, I find these pictures (from the Italian Vogue September issue) disturbing because I don't find them beautiful. Did Italian Vogue do this to ride on the oil spill controversy? What do you think?
Yes maybe. But I believe fashion can be a form of social commentary though, not necessarily beautiful but there's a message across I guess. Haha :)
ReplyDeletei think this is the most amazing editorial ever! when i first saw it i was speechless. ang ganda lang. at naging topic to over dinner with friends. winner talaga. ang galing. esp... the usok usok detail and the oils. kaloka! i wonder how they did it. very creative. very provocative. as what fashion should be. swear nakakaiyak siya sa ganda.
